Akelaland Cub Scout Resident Camp

Welcome to a summer at Akelaland Cub Resident Camp, one of the largest Cub Scout only summer camps in the Northeastern United States.  Akelaland is open for seven weeks of campers with a large paid summer camp staff.  Our camp is Nationally accredited by the Boy Scouts of America, and all key staff are nationally Boy Scouts of America certified through the National Camping School.

Unlike most areas where Boy Scout camps offer  special programs for Cubs, our camp was built and designed for Cub Scouts.  Our staff specializes in ensuring that we have a safe and fun environment.  With flush toilets throughout camp, hot individual showers, round the clock emergency medical care, and a full time kitchen and dining hall, our camp is ready to ensure that your son has a positive experience.

Our camp has a wide variety of programs to meet the needs of all cub scout age youth.  Our camp has BB, archery, slingshot and action archery ranges, Swimming boating and fishing at Lake Trexler, Swimming and aquatics instruction at the brand new Baker Pool, and four different leveled programs available through our outdoor skills center.  Not to mention special programs like swim lessons, a bouldering wall, and the pioneer outpost.

  Our camp includes overnight experiences that include special weekends, a four day mini-week, and full week camping. We offer three levels of programming that are designed to meet all Scouts needs for fun, excitement in the outdoors, and advancement in Scouting
