 Shoot for a Bulls-Eye this Summer! Few activities take more concentration, focus and coordination than shooting a bow or a rifle. Your Scouts can work to develop their skills at our Archery, BB Slingshot and Action Archery ranges. Both our Archery and BB gun ranges have their own pavilions, so we can shoot comfortably in rain or shine. Every Pack gets a chance to shoot for an hour each day.
Akelaland has a wooded slingshot range and Action Archery
Range. Slingshot is open to all Scouts, but Action Archery is only
available to Webelos. Action Archery and slingshot are each only
open on certain days. Check with the shooting sports staff at the
beginning of the week for the schedule. Kris Zeller is our Shooting Sports Director. Kris holds a National Camp School Certification in Shooting Sports, which includes NRA Rifle Instructor training. Kris will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Fall.
