Program 2008

Akelaland Cub Scout Camp is a Nationally Accredited Resident Camp that offers high quality programming for Cub Scouts of all ages - from Tiger Cubs to Webelos II.  Cub Scouts participate in a range of age appropriate programming including Swimming, Boating, fishing, archery, bb rifle, slingshot, handicraft, nature activities, Outdoor Skills programming, and much more.

Our facilities include a full service dining hall which was expanded in 2007, a full service health lodge with 24 hour medical service, flush toilets throughout camp, multiple shooting ranges, a full service lake with paddleboats and rowboats, three Outdoor Skills Program sub-camps that are designed for specific age level programming, and in the near future, our brand new Dexter & Dorothy Baker Swimming Pool with a brand new showerhouse!

Safety is of primary concern with our camp program, and more than half of our staff are certified in CPR & First Aid (many are first responders, EMTs and firefighters).  Key staff are Nationally Certified by the National Camping School.  Many of our staff hold multiple NCS certifications.

Program Specifics and Schedules are being revised for 2008 and when available will be posted on this page...
