Akelaland was one of the first Cub Scout Resident Camps in the United States!  Our Council began experimenting with allowing Webelos Scouts to camp at Boy Scout Resident Camps in the early 1980s.  Then in 1985, Pioneer Boy Scout Camp was converted into Akelaland.
